Powered by Kiwix, the READI Scout provides access to millions of pages of searchable reference material stored locally on the system.

This includes:

• Full Wikipedia (text and images)

• Wiktionary

• Project Gutenberg book collections

• Educational video archives

• Stack Exchange knowledge repositories

The custom READI Knowledgebase interface makes it easy to search and navigate content quickly, while still allowing access to the traditional Kiwix library for advanced users who want to add additional ZIM files.

Offline Mapping Platform

The Scout includes full North America map coverage by default.

Using pre-cached vector map data stored locally on the device, the system provides:

• Smooth zooming from regional to street-level detail

• Offline city search

• Fast, consistent rendering without streaming

Additional regions can be added as needed.
All maps function completely offline.

Built-In Offline AI

The READI Scout runs Qwen 2.5 locally using Ollama, allowing AI assistance without sending data to external servers.

Through the READI Offline AI Interface, users can:

• Ask questions

• Summarize documents

• Troubleshoot technical problems

• Analyze information from the knowledgebase

UserVault – Your Files, Offline

In addition to preloaded content, the READI Scout includes a dedicated UserVault for your own files.

Store manuals, PDFs, training materials, maps, checklists, and other important documents directly on the device.

Files can be accessed locally or shared with other devices connected to the same network through a standard web browser.

Wireless Information Hub

The READI Scout can function as a standalone workstation or as a local information hub for multiple users.

Connect using the optional READI Router or your own configured network. Once connected, phones, tablets, and laptops can access the Knowledgebase, maps, AI interface, and UserVault through a browser.
